2009 Storehouse Youth Camp
Ps.
Marshall Geswint
Youth Camp Major Success as Zion is
established in the midst of His people. From Thursday 3rd December to
Sunday 6th December groups of different young people from as far as
Oudtshoorn,
Plettenberg Bay, Krantshoek,
Humansdorp and
Jeffreys Bay gathered together for a youth camp on the Generational
Ministries farm. This was the first time an event of thissort were held
on the farm and for Ps. Dallas, Jody Sphar &
Apostle Steve
Allen and his wife Patty it was a tremendous blessing to watch all
of the kids as they were pouring their hearts out to God.
On Thursday evening we had kind of a slow
start as we were waiting withanticipation for kids to arrive on the
camp. The main focus of this night was just to get kids into the
presence of God. I was not expecting to meet God after the service that
night when everything was over…and I sure did. Guess what, I thought He
will speak to me in the service but suddenly God opened my eyes around
the dinner table. You know usually we like to tease our young boys who
have these huge appetites on camp as most of you know how much boys can
eat on camp. We even call one of them “BUCKET OF KFC”, because he loves
KFC so much. This time it was different as my eye got hold of a young
boy’s face as he held his food plate in his hand. Actually he watched it
closely for a few seconds and then it was as if I could read his mind.
This is what went through his mind. “Finally I have a full plate of food
in front of me and guess what we will be here on camp for three more
days. At least for the next couple of days I don’t have to worry about
where I will get something to eat.” I said Lord forgive me and help me
to see beyond the norm and really what I saw that night touched me
deeply. I asked God to show me what we could do more as a church to help
these poor, vulnerable and needy young people. It is so difficult to
open your mind and your heart to the word if you are hungry...isn’t it?
Friday morning early in the service the Holy Spirit fell on the youth as
many were going through deliverance and were healed from their
brokenness. I saw girls crying that morning that usually don’t show much
emotion. Later in the afternoon Ps Mark ministered on identity and
Apostle Steve ended the day of with a powerful message on the short
comings that Esther had in her life but yet she became Queen Esther. It
was amazing to see different ones coming out of despair and hurts as the
move of God intervened in the affairs of young people.
Saturday morning was just an Open Heaven experience for all of us as Ps.
Leon took the lead in the service and allowed young people to step into
and come under the move that we as a church are currently experiencing.
Later in the afternoon we allowed young people to just play and relax
for the day. In the evening a very close friend of mine, Collen
ministered to the youth on the story of Jonathan crawling out of the
cave. It was awesome. Closer to the end the heavens began to manifest
powerfully as different manifestations started happening. The prophetic
flow just broke open as it took hold of our worship team and musicians.
These guys were immediately on a different level. I started hearing this
war cry and asked the guys if they could play a war beat and as Apostle
Steve held his famous Reformation sword in his hand while Ps Dallas
making declarations suddenly the young people followed Joseph Sphar as
they all jumped into Jehu’s chariot driving furiously, every demon was
chased and by that time the band was singing “THROW JEZEBEL DOWN”. By
this time half of the young people were on the ground as the power of
God fell. People started shaking, laughing, crying, jumping, and
crawling as others were drunk in the Spirit. I watched one young man as
he tried to get back to his seat and his legs could not carry him
anymore. He went down at least three times on his own without people
touching him. Some of the Oudtshoorn girls were shaking uncontrollable.
One of the girls from Krantshoek had to be carried back into the tent a
few times because she kept on rolling out of the tent under the power of
God.
Sunday morning we allowed different ones to come forward and share with
the rest of the congregation about the weekend. It was awesome. When Ps
Peter Nicholes from Australia was here with us a few months ago we were
told that when this move broke out in his church the Lord laid it upon
his heart to call this move Zion. Hebrews 12 from verse 22 to 29 says
the following…1.Come to Mount Zion. 2.Heavely Jerusalem. 3.Company of
angels. 4.Judgement. 5.Perfection of man’s spirit . 6.Jesus the
mediator. 7.The blood of Christ. 8.Fire. According to Ps Peter this move
is being birthed in different churches in Australia and as it was
birthed in the Storehouse it broke open in Plettenberg Bay also as our
Nation Builders took it out and now those guys from Plettenberg Bay is
taking it into different regions and churches in the area. Each time it
breaks out in churches people stand amaze by what the Holy Spirit does.
Zion is indeed God’s dwelling place amongst His people and this youth
camp to me was a clear picture of the Spirit of Reformation and Revival.
THIS MOVE is for all! It is here right now. Team ministry was another
eye opener for me during this camp. Sometimes our limitations and lack
of a dynamic flow during ministry comes in when we are strong just in a
certain area. Some churches are strong in a preaching anointing while
others are strong in teaching. Others find their strength in a powerful
music ministry, while others are strong evangelistically. This weekend I
saw what a unique flavor and style God has given us as the Storehouse as
dynamic was build through music, the prophetic, teaching, preaching and
also Apostolic insight and impartation. OUR diversity can be described
as rare especially within the culture of church in South Africa. We do
not just respect each other when it comes down to the difference in our
skin color, but we show honor to each other
even in our callings and ministry gifting. For real ...I have never seen
or being part of such unity in the Spirit then I have seen during this
youth camp.
Apostle Steve
said one time… Everybody serves, everybody loves and everybody gives.
Apartheid in South Africa has produced a very bad work ethic amongst our
people. I was amazed by the level of serving our people has grown into
over the last few years. Preparing food, cleaning and waiting tables
were no challenge for our youth this weekend. They did it all!
Thank God for awesome leaders whom God has brought into my life. You
guys on our youth team are amazing. Much love!
Ps Marshall
