Date
- August 2010Dear Friends, Hope this letter finds
you all well and enjoying 2010 and the start of a new decade. For those of you
who haven’t heard, I will be leaving in a just a few days for another trip to
the US, and then on to Mexico, where I will be joined by Ps. Tim Robinson and a
team from CityGate Church in Puyallup, to do a Youth Conference, a pastors
training day, and other ministry in Acuna, Mexico! It has been a long time since
I was with Ps. Juan and Anna in Acuna, and I am really looking forward to being
there with them again! I will have about three weeks total in Spokane, and can’t
wait to see my family and spend some quality time with my grandchildren. I hope
I will get to see some of you while I’m there as well. I am leaving South Africa
and my 2010 Nation Builders class at a time when so much is happening. This has
been another great year for us. I felt that 2010 would be the Year of Overflow,
and we certainly have experienced the overflowing presence of God in wave after
wave of outpouring. I really want to thank all of you for your continued prayers
and for all the support that you send our way. Your love and friendship makes a
huge difference in our lives. I wanted to take this time
to also share something that means a lot to me. Over the years, I have kept a
very close watch over the prophetic words that have been spoken over my life.
Many of these prophecies are kept in my Bible and I often find myself reading
through them and marvelling how God has been so faithful to Patty and me. I
received one such word when I was in my late twenties. I knew the moment it was
given, that this was something that I needed to hold onto, and that it was a
word that would speak to me the rest of my life. Please allow me to share it
with you. It was a lengthy word, but the part that stood out to me went
something like this:
“You will birth 7 ministries in your lifetime that are
governmental in nature.
These 7 birthings will change and impact people and nations from all over
the world.”
Much more was said, but this was the heart of the prophetic
message. I believe that God has been truly faithful to His word....let me
explain:
- Harvest Christian Fellowship – Harvest was birthed in
1987 and soon became a truly unique expression of God’s heart. At Harvest,
God brought together some of the finest people it has ever been my privilege
to know. Their willingness to sacrifice, and their great love for the things
of God, produced a rare and passionate people that continue to make an
impact wherever they are serving today. People came from all over the world
to experience the presence of God that was at Harvest and countless lives
were changed by the testimony of Jesus that was there among us.
- The Masters Commission – Birthed in 1988, the Masters
Commission reached young people from 27 different nations and 36 different
US states. It was written about in books and magazines and became a model
for discipling young people that is still touching young lives today.
Through the MC, hundreds of young people found purpose and lifelong
friendships that changed their lives.
- Generational Ministries Fellowship – Birthed in the early
1990’s, GMF provided apostolic input and inspiration for scores of pastors
through regular leadership retreats, gatherings and conferences. Again,
ministers from around the globe attended GMF Conferences where they were
equipped and envisioned. GMF was also the wineskin for my apostolic call,
and throughout the 90’s, I travelled the world sharing the message of
Fathering and Generational Transfer.
- Generational Ministry South Africa – Birthed in 2002 with
our spiritual son and daughter, Dallas and Jody Sphar, GMSA has established
a strong apostolic base that is already affecting nations. In only a few
years, the GMSA base has hosted hundreds of visitors and ministry teams from
the USA, Australia, England, Zimbabwe, as well as ministering to scores of
South African pastors.
- Storehouse Africa Generational Church – Planted and
birthed in 2005, The Storehouse, as it is called, has already experienced
great favour and serves the whole community as a center where people from
all over Africa can come to experience the Fathers heart, anointed worship,
and apostolic strategies they can build their lives around.
- Nation Builders – Birthed just last year in 2009, Nation
Builders School of Discipleship has experienced great favour and young
people throughout South Africa are expressing their desire to become a part.
In all my years, I have never seen anything take off as fast as Nation
Builders. God is now blessing us with international students as well as our
African sons and daughters so that we are seeing incredible fruit from all
over the world! And now, number 7.
- ??? Well, a few months ago I would have said that number
7 has not been revealed yet, but I can no longer say that! We have just been
given the legal go ahead for our newest ministry. I have felt for some time
now that it was time to bring GMF to an end and retire this wineskin that
has served me faithfully these past 20 years. It’s time for a totally new
birthing! So, God has put it into Ps. Dallas and my heart to launch:
Nation Builders Apostolic
Ministries
Training
Generations to Build Nations With our new name
comes some new apostolic strategies. We don’t believe that God wants us to
function in this new decade as the apostolic oversight over a specific
network of churches, but more as a resource for any and all who feel they
could benefit from our input. We want to build the nations and I believe
that I will be connecting more with other apostolic leaders on a more
strategic and national level. I feel called to serve the church as someone
who can be a father to fathers at this time in my life. Side by side with
Ps. Dallas, who carries a very mature prophetic anointing and office, we
believe that we can be a greater resource and blessing to the whole Body of
Christ. Of course, there will be those who will want to connect with us on a
deeper level, but we see that as being less organizational and more
relational and covenantal in this season. I hope that you will be encouraged
by these new directions and that you will be praying regularly for us.
Blessings to you all. And to our friends in the US and Mexico.
